This information is correct as of 13th May following guidance received from the National Youth Agency (NYA).
Following further easing of Covid restrictions, we have amended our delivery to reflect guidance received from the National Youth Agency. From Monday 17th May, we have now moved to the NYA’s Yellow Readiness Level and are able to offer the following activities:
Junior Youth Club (Monday and Wednesday) – Open access for members.
Senior Youth Club (Tuesday) / Mentoring and Buddy Up (Thursday) – will be ‘invite only’ with a maximum of 30 young people in the centre per evening. Due to having to reduce the amount of members who are accessing our services, we will be contacting young people and parents directly regarding their access to sessions and due to the limit we are placing on numbers, we will be prioritising those who need our services most. We hope to revert back to bookable sessions and open access as soon as it is safe to do so.
Junction Gym – will remain closed whilst we are under yellow readiness restrictions and will be reviewed at the time of the next government announcement, due on 21st June.
Other one-to-one work will continue with those young people who need it and includes our range of Personal Development Programmes.
Other targeted programmes will continue and include National Citizen Service, Young Leaders and Hope Youth Voice.
Our digital YZ @ Home programme will continue and young people can still receive support from WYC staff and have access to a range of challenges, competitions, activities and discussions. Follow us on social media for more information!
Our Outreach & Detached Youth Work team will continue to support young people in different areas around Warrington.
