Supporting Children’s Mental Health Week 2020

WYC are proud to be supporting the Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2020 which takes place from Monday 3rd to Sunday 9th February. This year’s theme is ‘Find your Brave’.

1 in 8 children and young people have a diagnosable mental health condition, the #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek has been designed to help raise awareness of the importance of mental health.

The first Children’s Mental Health Week was launched in 2015 by Place2Be, the UK’s leading provider of schools based mental health support.

Samantha Barnett, Emotional & Wellbeing Co-ordinator at WYC comments “supporting the mental health of the young people of Warrington is incredibly important to us. Our Youth Workers are on hand at our Junior and Senor Youth Clubs, at the Junction Gym and in our targeted programmes and are available to speak and listen to any young people who needs that support. In addition we have a Need Help section on our website with signposts to helpful apps, local resources and 24-hour organisations”
