WYC’s Junction Gym will this month begin running their brand new ‘Project FIT (families in training)’ sessions, aimed at helping families in Warrington become more active!
Funded by the National Lottery’s ‘Awards For All’ scheme, from 30th June the Junction Gym will now open its doors each Sunday between the hours of 10am and 1pm for parents, carers and young people (aged 7-19 or up to 25 with additional needs), providing an opportunity for families to train and exercise together in a welcoming and friendly environment, supported by WYC’s qualified fitness instructors.
For only 50p per person, young people and parents will have access to high-quality gym equipment and facilities located in central Warrington, whilst also being eligible to access health and well-being workshops running throughout 2019/2020 addressing nutrition, fitness and mental health.
All those attending will receive full gym inductions and personalised workout programmes to suit the needs of each family member attending, as well as monthly progress updates from our gym instructors. Whether your goal is to burn calories, build muscle or you are just looking for something healthy to do as a family, Project FIT could be the perfect option!
And for those young people who catch the fitness bug, there’ll also be the opportunity to attend sessions throughout the rest of the week as part of the 12 month membership package.
Want to get involved? Simply turn up to the Junction Gym (3a Buttermarket Street, WA12LY) on a Sunday between the hours of 10am-1pm for your FREE group induction. You can also learn more by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01925909701.
