WYC to begin running American Football ‘Jag Tag’ Sessions

WYC will be running ‘Jag Tag’ American Football sessions with the support of EdStart Sports Coaching and Jacksonville Jaguars NFL side.

The session, which will take place each Tuesday between 6-7pm at the Peace Centre from 24th March, involves playing a simplified version of the popular American sport, and is being endorsed by the Jacksonville Jaguars who currently play some of their home games each year at Wembley Stadium in London.

The game is suitable for young people of all abilities as they are taught the basic techniques of throwing, catching, evading and defending before gradually upskilling to learn their own more complex in-game tactics.

In partnership with EdStart, a national sports coaching company, and now WYC. The Jaguars hope to build the next generation of American Football fans, coaches and maybe even players, right here in Warrington!

To find out more about the Jag Tag programme, please head to Jacksonville Jaguars. For more information on the sessions in Warrington, please email our Sports Coordinator, Chris M chrism@warringtonyouthclub.co.uk.

Remember, you can access the all activities within the youth club (including the new Jag Tag sessions) for only 50p per visit!
