Guidance for parents/carers to support young people’s mental health during Covid-19

The Coronavirus lockdown has significantly altered daily life for everyone, and children and young people may find this a particularly challenging time, impacting negatively upon their mental health and emotional well-being.

Adverse reactions may include thinking about their health or that of family and friends, fear, avoidance, problems sleeping, or physical symptoms such as stomach ache.

Public Health England has released guidance for parents/carers to support their children with their mental health during this time.
