Bike Support From Vimto!

Nearly 12 months after the biggest fundraising event held by Nichols Plc in aid of Warrington Youth Club, the 110k Big Charity Bike Ride is still giving.

Warrington Youth Club Vimto Bike Donation

Jason Sankey (Vimto), Aaron Payne (Young Person), and Sam Barnett (New Leaf Coordinator)

To celebrate Vimto’s 110th Birthday in September 2018, 110 cyclists trained and toiled in the rain to cycle 110 kilometres to support 110 young people through the Club’s Mentoring programme, which raised a staggering £114,000 and is quite literally changing young people’s lives.

This incredible generosity has now been extended through the donation of one of the bikes from the event to help 18 year-old Aaron from Warrington who is currently studying on the Club’s New Leaf employability support programme.

Aaron, who previously registered at Warrington and Vale Royal College to study Game Design had to give up the course as the journey proved to be too long, needing him to take two buses from home. The state-of-the-art Specialised Rockhopper Mountain Bike which has been given to the Club will enable Aaron to cycle to college and return to his ambition of becoming a Game Designer.
