Digital Platform Coordinator

Job Title: Digital Platform Coordinator

Hours: Permanent - 40 hours per week

Salary: £22, 000 - £25, 000 consummate with experience

Location: Initially be based in The Base, Dallam Lane, Warrington, until the opening of the Youth Zone in Spring 2021

In 2020 / 2021 Warrington Youth Club worked in partnership with Cheshire Community Foundation and charities across the county to develop a digital space for children and young people to socialise and share content. The need was born out of the isolation created as a result of the lockdown and the fact that so many charities and young people’s organisations had moved their offer to an online programme. This situation created a dramatic increase in the confidence and competence of people across the country including organisations supporting children and young people, with using video conferencing and online platforms to engage with each other. The concept of the Yoof Platform is to provide children and young people from across Cheshire with a safe online space to socialise and enjoy age-appropriate digital content. Whilst the Yoof Platform is born out of the lockdown, children and young people have been affected by social isolation long before the pandemic. There are three core functions of the role of Digital Platform Coordinator:

1: Promotion – To work with children and young people’s organisations across the county to promote Yoof, including the creation and delivery of an innovative marketing campaign targeting children, young people, parents, carers and professionals.

2: Content Development – support organisations across the county to develop digital content for children and young people by addressing barriers of access to equipment, training in using the platform and equipment.

3: Community Development – develop the network of organisations who are engaged with the platform and support them to sign up their members.
