NCS Team Leader

Job Title: NCS Team Leader

Hours: Seasonal June 2022 - September 2022

Salary: £700 per Wave

Location: Week One, Colomendy (North Wales) Week Two, Warrington

A new, exciting and unique opportunity within the NCS Team has been created, for an Team Leader

NCS is a nationally delivered personal development programme for young people aged 15 – 17 aimed at increasing confidence, personal skills and responsibility whilst ensuring that young people have a fantastic summer for young people.

NCS is run over two weeks. Week 1 is spent in North Wales at Colomendy Activity Centre taking part in outdoor activities , living independently and learning skills such as Enterprise, cooking and first aid. At the end, the young people have a celebration event and receive a certificate. 

Week 2 is a social action project based in Warrington. During this week, the young people will plan and deliver a young person led project to give young people an opportunity to give back to their community whilst developing their own skills.

Support Worker (with personal care)

Job Title: Support Worker (with personal care)

Hours: Part-time (for 4 weeks)

Salary: £5.12 - £9.41 per hour dependent on age, plus personal care allowance

Location: Woolston Learning Village

The Support Worker with Personal Care will work alongside the support staff and Youth Club Team to provide disability Holiday Club provision, from Monday 26th July to Friday 27th August, for young people with additional needs aged 6 – 18.

Duties will include undertaking risk assessments to safeguard children and young people including needs assessments for individuals, assisting with personal care including toileting and feeding if required together with changing and dressing, supporting the individual during Holiday Club activities, enabling and assisting with mobility, pushing of wheelchairs and checking of specialist equipment, and assisting with medications as prescribed by a medical professional where needed.

Duties will include undertaking risk assessments to safeguard children and young people including needs assessments for individuals, supporting the individual during Holiday Club activities on a one to one basis, assist with medications as prescribed by a medical professional where needed, and work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of each session.

Activity Delivery Leader

Job Title: Activity Delivery Leader

Hours: Part-time (Monday 26th July to Friday 27th August)

Salary: £12.70 per hour

Location: Woolston Learning Village

The Activity Delivery Leader will play a vital role working alongside the support staff and Aspire Club Team to provide disability holiday club provision, from Monday 26th July to Friday 27th August, for young people aged 6 to 18.

We are looking for creative and energetic individuals to effectively plan and deliver high quality programmes of youth work, attend and participate in planning and evaluation meetings, monitor, record and evaluate sessions in accordance with Club systems, and be accountable for achieving programme targets.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning; delivering and evaluating successful youth work activities and sessions, experience of managing, supporting and motivating teams of young people, and working within a team environment to ensure safe delivery of sessions.

Holiday Club Youth/Play Worker

Job Title: Holiday Club Youth/Play Worker

Hours: 16 hours per week (Monday 26th July to Friday 20th August)

Salary: £5.12 to £9.41 per hour dependent on age

Location: Warrington

The Club is currently recruiting Holiday Club Youth/Play Workers (16 hours per week) who will be able to deliver a packed programme of fun activities during the summer period.

From Monday 26th July to Friday 27th August, WYC will be providing Holiday Clubs across six venues in Warrington, and are looking for applicants who are able to deliver a range of fun activities to children aged 5 to 16, experienced and confident in managing behaviour, and with an excellent understanding of safeguarding (full training will be provided).

Successful candidates will be experienced in supporting and entertaining children and young people, and have the ability to coordinate, plan, and organise games, activities, and events which engage, excite, and entertain the target age group.

In return, you will receive a salary of £5.12 to £9.41 per hour dependent on age, and a rewarding and challenging opportunity with a charity that is committed to the social and personal development of children and young people.
