Become a volunteer

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to enhance the services we provide, from as little as 1 hour per week you could make a difference to some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Warrington.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Volunteer Administrator - are you experienced in, or looking to gain experience in the world of administration? You could join our vibrant administration department, planning, filing, communicating with children, young people, parents and carers, answering emails and helping with the smooth running of the club!
  • Volunteer Youth Worker - are you experienced in, or looking for a work placement opportunity as part of your studies? do you want to experience youth work in an inspiring and challenging setting, working with upto 2000 children and young people every month, engaging them in educational and fun activities.
  • Volunteer Mini Bus Driver - Do you have a driving license? Do you enjoy driving? We are on the look-out for members of our community to help transport children and young people to and from the youth club 4 days a week from 3 -6:30pm Mon – Weds and Thurs from 8:45 – 10pm. 
  • Being a Buddy - This involves being a positive role model and offering support and guidance to a young person. Find our more about Buddy Up.
  • The Mentoring Programme  - The Mentoring Programme at Warrington Youth Club provides Volunteer Mentor support for vulnerable and at risk children and young people aged between 7 and 15 years old.  It increases confidence, self-esteem and supports the child/young person to make positive choices through 1:1 support, befriending and fun activities.  Volunteer as a Mentor and you will receive full training and professional support throughout your journey.  For more information contact: lindsayg@warringtonyouthclub.co.uk

Young people aged- 14-19 years can join our Loud & Clear project, learning valuable skills and knowledge to enable them to become successful volunteers, from First Aid, Child Protection and Safeguarding to practical hands on experience of what volunteering with young people is all about!

Adult volunteers, can apply to volunteer on any of our projects, after completing a CRB check and induction, you will be invited to try out the sessions and see which one suits you best.

We offer training and development opportunities to all our volunteers and provide supervison and guidance along your volunteering journey.
